Geochemistry for the People of the State of Illinois

The Illinois State Geological Survey, (ISGS) a division of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, is located on the Champaign-Urbana campus of the University of Illinois. The ISGS has close ties with the University and with two other state divisions — the Illinois Natural History Survey (INHS) and the Illinois State Water Survey.

The organic chemistry laboratories and instrumental chemical analysis facilities provide the equipment and expertise to analyze organic compounds; major, minor and trace elements; and sedimentation rate measurements.

The ISGS has high-quality research laboratories for conducting all aspects of chemical analyses.

Our staff would be happy to answer any questions about specific analytical methods.
